Some very small finished items

The bootees are from the book '50 baby bootees to knit' by Zoe Mellor. There are some lovely things in there and unlike some other books with lots of patterns for one type of item, there is a really good range of ideas. There are actually 50 patterns and variations in colour or embelishment are extra. It would have been nice to have better yarn quantity requirements for each pattern, as most just specify 1 ball of whatever, when you can probably get 2 pairs out of a ball (I haven't tried this yet) or you are using left overs of another project to make them. That's only a minor niggle tho, and generally it's a really good book. On to the pictures...

Lace and diamond bootees

yarn: Rowan cotton glace
These have a ribbon just below the cuff as well

Roll-top bootees and matching mitts

yarn: Opal sock yarn, possibly a prisim colourway but I'm not sure.
I used the Opal yarn for the whole pattern, the main and the contrast colours, and I haven't added the embroidery, but they are still sweet little bootees.

Cable mitts

yarn: Town and Country sock yarn, Chocolate swirl
I put the cable patten into the basic mitt design myself to match a little cable cardigan my Mum has knitted, the yarn is left overs from that project
